1. Work or works means behaviour consultation, training, handouts, written report and/or training program created by In Safe Hands Training. It may also describe other services such as administrative, training meetings and other tasks which are necessary in the creation of the training package.
2. In Safe Hands Dog Training can also extend to Louise Hughes.
3. The client means the individual who requested the work.
4. Amendments means any alteration to the work.
1. They reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time by notice and with immediate effect.
2. These terms and conditions shall prevail over all terms and conditions of your customary practice or any previous course of dealings the client has had with In Safe Hands Dog Training.
3. These terms and conditions apply to all work created by In Safe Hands Dog Training. Work services or products are only supplied in strict accordance with these terms and conditions.
4. These terms and conditions shall be subject to English Law.
5. The contents contained in the quotation (verbal or written) and these Terms and Conditions form the agreement between In Safe Hands Dog Training and the client relating to the work, no variation of them will be binding to In Safe Hands Dog Training unless it is agreed in writing and signed by In Safe Hands Dog Training (Louise Hughes).
6. Each clause of this Agreement is independent and operates separately in its own right.
7. By agreeing to these terms and conditions your statutory rights are not affected.
8. Should In Safe Hands Dog Training decide to waive any of these terms on an individual basis, this shall not affect the validity of remaining clauses or commit In Safe Hands Dog Training to waive the same clause on any other occasion.
9. Any alterations or variations of these terms and conditions shall be inapplicable unless agreed in writing by all parties concerned before commencement of any work.
10. Ordering services or using work created by In Safe Hands Dog Training is automatically agreeing to these terms and conditions.
11. This contract shall be governed by the laws of England and both parties shall submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
1. Training work cannot be guaranteed with any animal.
2. In Safe Hands Dog Training shall create behaviour and training program’s to the specifications of the problems assessed at the first consultation/session and will make amendments to the training and behaviour package accordingly.
3. The training and behaviour package is specific to the dog(s) that the package has been designed for and should not be used in part or whole with any third party.
4. The client shall agree not to sell, destroy, deface, alter or part with work created by In Safe Hands Dog Training or permit it to be given or done so by any third party.
1. Package fees are payable in full 24 hours prior to either In Safe Hands Dog Training's arrival or prior to your selected class date.
2. Deadlines set in the agreement will not affect In Safe Hands Dog Training’s right to be paid.
3. 48-hour prior notice is required for cancellation or amendment. Should this not be provided, there will be the below charges set out:
The only time that this charge will be waived is under exceptional circumstances, which will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Should this remain unpaid, any pre-paid sessions will not continue until this has been received.
4. In the event that work is cancelled, ownership of the work remains the property of In Safe Hands Dog Training and the client is not authorised to use any part of the work.
5. Ownership of the work shall not pass to the client until all charges have been paid in full.
6. All work created by In Safe Hands Dog Training for the client is to be used for the sole purpose for which it was created. The client does not have the right to resell work created by In Safe Hands Training or repurpose it without written consent.
7. In Safe Hands Dog Training is entitled to assign any or all of its rights and obligations included in this agreement to third parties.
8. In Safe Hands Dog Training reserves the right to refuse to provide service or create work at its own discretion.
9. In Safe Hands Dog Training cannot always guarantee to start work immediately.
10. If no timescale has been agreed for a service, In Safe Hands Dog Training will not be responsible for any losses to the client if a deadline is not met.
11. Amendments to packages/training sessions may incur an additional charge beyond that of the original invoice.
12. All amendments must be agreed by both In Safe Hands Dog Training and the client.
13. Amendments may exceed original deadlines agreed by In Safe Hands Dog Training and the client.
14. Training programs are completed within the agreed timescale – this is confirmed at time of booking (if applicable).
In Safe Hands Dog Training welcome and encourage children to take part in group classes and 1-2-1 training sessions. Whilst we do understand that classes are exciting, to ensure the safety of all humans and animals, we must insist that:
1. Appropriate adult supervision is in place.
2. A calm environment is maintained.
3. Children do not approach other dogs in our group classes (unless welcomed or instructed).
4. In Safe Hands Dog Training will not be held accountable nor liable for unsupervised children should an accident occur, due to lack of responsibility from their carer.
5. In Safe Hands Dog Training will provide age-appropriate training and education to all children who attend.
1. In Safe Hands Dog Training shall have no liability under any circumstance whatsoever to the client for financial loss or loss of profit.
2. In Safe Hands Dog Training will not be held responsible under any circumstances whatsoever when a plan does not work due to the client’s circumstances and/or where there has been a lack of time effort from the client.
3. In no event will In Safe Hands Dog Training be liable to the client or any third party for damages or losses.
4. In Safe Hands Dog Training will not be liable for any loss, injury or liability to the client.
5. Handlers and/or owners remain responsible for their dogs at all times and are advised to ensure they have adequate pet or household insurance cover for liability in the unlikely event of damage or injury caused by their dog to property or to a third party.
In Safe Hands Dog Training’s preferred method of communication for documentation is by email. However, documents can be sent by traditional post, if no email address is available. This will incur a postal fee to send through reports to the client at the current postal rate and packaging.
In Safe Hands Dog Training shall not be held responsible for spelling mistakes or typing errors to any documents. Signatures are not required to start a contract; verbal communication, email or other exchanges are legally binding.
1. The information and any treatment suggested consists of In Safe Hands Dog Training's personal views and are based on the information given to In Safe Hands Dog Training by the client or person responsible for the animal(s) and or In Safe Hands Training’s own conclusions resulting from personally gained evidence of the animal and the related training issue.
2. Training plans, for the most part, will not be successful overnight. This requires a good deal of patience. In Safe Hands Dog Training cannot guarantee that this will work, as each animal is an individual case, nor is it possible to foresee if another problem may arise as a result of the treatment.
3. All programs are specific to a certain animal and should not be tried on any other pet, only the animal whose name appears on the information.
4. In Safe Hands Dog Training encourages clients to contact their veterinary surgeon prior to putting the actions into effect, if they are concerned. By booking one of In Safe Hands Dog Training’s services, you are agreeing to these Terms and Conditions. Once booked and paid for, there is no refund available.
5. In Safe Hands Dog Training reserves the right to cancel or change an appointment at any time by notice with immediate effect, without cause. By booking you will agree to keep the date and time of the consultations. If changes to the date and/or time need to be altered by you, then 48 hours notice will need to be given, otherwise charges outlined previously will be incurred on top of the existing fee.
1. If the client fails to pay which has become overdue.
2. If the client breaches any of the terms of the agreement.
3. If In Safe Hands Dog Training discovers that the client’s use of work produced is unethical, misleading or morally corrupt.
4. If the client’s use is in anyway harmful to In Safe Hands Dog Training or its reputation.
5. The client may cancel the agreement at anytime but may be invoiced up to the full amount quoted based on the degree to which the work has been completed and on the extent to which time has been allocated to the project that cannot be effectively used to generate revenue that would be otherwise lost.
6. A service will be deemed as cancelled if there is more than 30 days from the initial consultation/previous training session, regardless of how many sessions have been pre-paid.
7. No refunds will be issued.
Persistent non-attendance of booked training sessions will result in termination of contract with no refund offered.
Should you wish to borrow any of In Safe Hands Dog Training’s equipment following a training session (i.e. training lead, harness, head collar etc.) then a £10 deposit will be payable. This deposit will be refunded upon return of equipment. Equipment is expected to be returned in clean and reusable condition and if equipment is not returned in a satisfactory condition, then the deposit will be non-refundable.
Classes are pre-booked and take place on a set day & time weekly (unless stated otherwise upon booking) however, the location may change to enable your dog to experience a variety of settings,
1:2:1 Training can be booked on a weekly basis at varying times, however please enquire prior to booking.
Upon completion, there will be the opportunity to book further sessions should you wish to do so.
